1. Ghoomar

Ghoomar is a very popular dance of Rajasthan which has been prevalent since ancient times. During the times of kings, this dance was performed for the entertainment of the kings. Women in colorful dresses and dancing by waving hands, clapping and rotating in circles look very attractive and interesting. Now this dance style is very famous all over the country and the world.

2. Bhavai Dance

Bhavai is a skillful and wonderful dance performed by women balancing 6 to 7 brass or earthen pots on their heads. This traditional dance style requires a lot of effort and hard work to perform. In addition to balancing utensils, they would dance with their feet placed on a plate or on the edge of a weapon. 3. Kalbelia

5. Dandiya

Dandiya, a colorful dance play by both men and women in Rajasthan. 6. Kachhi Ghodi

Kachhi Ghodi is a famous dance performed by men representing the stories of bandits of Shekhawati region. During this dance form, men wear various traditional attire like dhoti, turban and kurta and they dance riding on puppet horses. This dance style is accompanied by background songs related to bandits and mock sword fights.

7. Terah Taal

Terah Taal is the oldest art of Rajasthan which is a very important and skillful dance style. The main part of this dance style is thirteen manjires i.e. small brass discs. These thirteen brass discs would be attached to different parts of the body.

8. Gair

Gair is another famous folk dance of Bhil community and this dance performance mostly takes place during festivals like Holi and Janmashtami. Both men and women perform this dance style in colorful traditional attire. The men look attractive in long skirts and they also handle the stick for rhythmic beats. The dance formations in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction according to the musical tunes attract everyone.

9. Fire dance

Fire dance is a dangerous and difficult folk dance mostly practiced in desert areas. This dance style reflects the lifestyle of the Jasnathis of Churu and Bikaner. During this dance form, a large bed of wood and coal burns and men of the Banjara community perform various dangerous stunts on this fire according to the beat of the drum.

10. Kathputli

Kathputli is a famous puppet dance show that has been around for centuries. Through this puppet dance show they will narrate various mythological and tribal stories of the past. This puppet show displays the rich culture and traditional values ​​of ancient times. This puppet dance style has great importance in Rajasthan.
